Versa Net's team are aware of the dangers that modern internet usage involves, especially for the business environment. Zero Day exploits, Root Kits, Trojans, Internet Worms and malicious web sites are all daily concerns for the modern internet user. We recommend a multi tiered approach to defending the corporate environment from these dangers. Our offerings include:

Spam and virus filters for email systems

Our spam and virus filters can be incorporated into a fully functional email server, or placed in front of Microsoft Exchange, Novell Groupwise or other existing SMTP email solutions. Based on Spamassassin and ClamAV technologies, these filters achieve success rates in the high 97-98% range, with some customers reporting no spam intrusions for months on end.

 Intrusion detection and prevention systems

Perimeter defence is an important part of any internet security strategy. Using the open source solution "Snort" Versa Net have developed an IDPS solution capable of keeping up with high volume internet traffic. Our IDPS inspects every packet coming into your network, blocking malicious communications based on signatures and anomalities in the data stream. Viruses and exploits are prevented from being able to try and infect workstations.

 Corporate versions of antivirus software

Not all antivirus solutions are the same. Versa Net has invested significant time in researching the various solutions that are available to identify the best performing application. Workstation antivirus is the last line of defence, and needs to be configured correctly.

 Content filtering proxy servers

Staff browsing the internet is a dangerous avenue for workstation infection. Versa Net's proxy server filters malicious web based viruses as well as inappropriate web content from being viewed on workstations.
